Hello,
[i'm newly subscribed so i can't answer on older mails on this list]
After working with nedit for more than 10 years now, i'm deeply
disturbed by the copy&paste issue which was topic on this list for
several times.
In short: after some time nedit cannot longer use copy&paste, the keys
and menu entries appear inoperable.
After reading in the mailinglist archive i found several postings,
stating that the issue is probably fixed in CVS. So i compiled and
installed HEAD on my computer yesterday. Today i found nedit's
copy&paste dysfunctional again.
Some details:
- Ubuntu 9.10
- KDE 4.3.2 (standard Ubuntu 9.10)
- libtiff 3.8.2
- nedit HEAD (latest tarball from the website)
- nedit is started in server mode, nc starts new windows
- no tabbed mode, i want my editor windows on several desktops
So how can i help debugging this issue? I find myself restarting nedit
once or twice a day, loosing all open windows for several projects.
Thanks & kind regards
